Americans for the Arts partnership
Take note! Thanks to a new partnership established
with Americans for the Arts (AFTA), Assembly members will receive
a discounted membership with Americans for the Arts for 2005! With
40 years of service, AFTA is the nation's leading nonprofit organization
for advancing the arts and arts education in America. With this
new partnership, we hope to engage a broader group of arts leaders
from across the state and increase membership support for the Assembly
at the same time. AFTA memberships start at $50.

About the Assembly
The Wisconsin Assembly for Local Arts provides a wealth of arts
management expertise, innovative ideas, connections, and statewide
resources to its members in every corner of Wisconsin.
We comprehensively spread the news about the infinite variety of
arts, culture and heritage in our state.
Our members and supporters know that arts and culture are important
in creating quality of life for everyone in Wisconsin.
We make sure decision and policy makers -- local, state and national
-- are aware of the value of arts and culture to our communities,
our schools and our lives.

Who should join?
Organizations
Reflecting the incredible diversity of the arts across
Wisconsin, the Assembly's definition of arts and culture, and of
"organization", is broad. Our membership encompasses all-volunteer
groups as well as formally incorporated organizations with many
paid staff members. Any "organization" which supports
the integration of arts and culture into community life is welcome
to join, including:

Individuals
We serve individuals who believe in, support, and promote the arts

and businesses around the state support the Assembly's mission through
