Arts Action Wisconsin:
advocacy for the arts
Professional, management, and leadership development:
ArtsPeers brings experienced, professional peer advisors to
work with artists and arts organizations who require outside perspectives,
fresh eyes and objective viewpoints to solve problems, identify
opportunities, or establish new directions. Fifteen professional
arts administrators are currently on the ArtsPeers roster.
Over forty Wisconsin organizations, in large urban areas and small
rural communities, have used these consultants to improve and
enhance their programs and services since the program began in
1994. Online application and evaluation

Assembly on the Road workshops, seminars, and roundtables
address not-for-profit organization and individual artist issues
such as entrepreneurship, small business development and business
plans, board development, legal issues, fundraising, and technology
uses. Online inquiry form is

Local Arts Directory, the only online searchable database
of Wisconsin's local arts organizations
ArtsJobs, links to the latest
non-profit and other arts jobs in Wisconsin and across the country.
Professional development subsidies
The Assembly is committed to providing limited scholarship funds
on a statewide basis to staff and volunteers of arts and cultural
organizations in significant need of assistance to attend professional
development conferences and workshops. Awards will be made to
organizations wishing to attend Assembly- sponsored workshops
and events, and regional and national events such as the Americans
for the Arts annual conference (June 11-15, Austin, TX) or the
Prairie Arts Management Institute (June 1-4, 2005, Sioux Falls,
SD), and other conferences and events. All recipients
must be members of the Assembly.
Speakers' Bureau
Provides arts professionals to speak at conferences, meetings,
seminars, and other gatherings.
Continuous technical assistance and telephone consulting
on a wide variety of issues concerning the arts and nonprofit organizations
is available through staff and board members.
Fiscal receiver assistance for projects and programs.
Research, referrals, networking and connections
for Wisconsin's arts community.
Arts Action Wisconsin:
Advocacy, Visibility and Promotion of Wisconsin's Arts Industry
Arts leaders from across the state gather at the State Capitol
each year to show support for and celebrate the arts in Wisconsin.
Arts Day 2004 took place on Wednesday, March 3, 2004. Read

Presented in partnership with the Wisconsin Arts Board -- bringing
together arts and civic leaders to network, learn, share, and
strategize about how Wisconsin's non-profit arts industry can
make the most of the latest innovations, trends and issues in
today's creative economy, including community revitalization,
advocacy, technology, fundraising, marketing, education and audience
development.
A MEMBERS-ONLY BENEFIT! Published bi-monthly and sent via email,
containing all the news and information arts activists need to
stay in touch and up to date. (Email action alerts are sent to
non-members and the statewide arts community on an as-needed basis).

Recognizing and celebrating people and organizations exhibiting
creativity, a sense of community, visionary actions, and stewardship
of the arts in Wisconsin.
A pilot project of the Wisconsin Assembly for Local Arts, Wisconsin
Arts Board, and State Bar of Wisconsin providing legal resources
for artists and arts organizations.
Wisconsin CyberPantry provides refurbished computers to non-profit
